Request Data Deletion
Last updated: 2026-09-26
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data collected by Revcone Collect (field officer app) and Revcone Pay (ratepayer payment app), both built by NextCone Technologies Limited as part of the Revenue Cone platform. See our full Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and why.
How to request deletion
If you're a ratepayer (Revcone Pay user):
Your ratepayer records (name, contact details, bills, payment history) are held by the local revenue authority or agency you pay — not directly by NextCone Technologies Limited. Contact that organisation directly to request deletion or anonymization of your data. If you're unsure who to contact, email privacy@revcone.com with your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and the organisation's name, and we'll route your request to them.
If you're staff (Revcone Collect user):
Your staff account is provisioned by your organisation's Revenue Cone administrator. Contact your administrator directly, or email privacy@revcone.com and we'll confirm your identity and coordinate deletion with your organisation.
We (or the relevant organisation) will respond within the timeframe required under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
What gets deleted, what's retained
- Contact and profile data (name, phone, email, address, GPS coordinates, photos): deleted or anonymized upon a valid request, subject to the retention rules below.
- Financial and audit records (bills, payments, assessments): retained for at least 7 years after a deletion request, as required for legal and audit purposes — but with personal identifiers anonymized where the record itself must be kept.
- Account credentials (login, password hash): deleted immediately upon a verified request, unless retention is required for an open audit or legal matter.
This matches the retention rules in our Privacy Policy (§3).
